Hall Rentals

The Ranchlands Community Hall has a collection of space available for rent. Rent out one or all of these spaces for your private function including birthdays, weddings, or a club. Our Community Hall provides both our community and surrounding areas with low cost space rentals. All monies from rentals go directly back into the operation and maintenance of the Community Hall.

Main Hall

$60 / hour with a minimum of 3 hours
Full day (9am to midnight) rate: $750

The largest space in our building, the Main Hall is a bright, airy space that is perfect for wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, fitness classes or seminars. Measuring 1,716 sqft, there is room for 139 seated or 169 standing.

Boardroom

$20 / hour with a minimum of 3 hours
Full day (9am to midnight) rate: $250

This boardroom in our facilities is great place for many events. Ideal for club meetings, workshops, small birthdays and more.

West Hall

Effective Sept 1st, 2024, the west hall will no longer be available for bookings due to a long term lease. 

FAQ

How can I view the Hall?
Please call our Office at 403-241-0335 or email ranchlandscommunity@outlook.com to book an appointment to view the hall. An appointment is required to ensure minimal disruption to other renters.
How can I find out if the date I want to book is available?
Please visit our rental calendar to see our hall availability. Please note this is subject to change as other rentals may be in process and not yet listed.
Can I save a date?
You can start a booking request by visiting our rental calendar however a rental is not confirmed or guaranteed until a Rental Contract is completed and a security deposit is paid.
Can I book the Hall without visiting in person?

Yes, you can book a rental without having to visit in person, however you must present a government issued piece of identification in person to pick up the keys. Rental contracts can be signed and returned via email and payments can be sent via e-transfer or paid online through our rental booking system. 

Can I cook food in the kitchen?
Cooking of food is not permitted in the kitchen at any time. Prepared foods can be kept warm in the oven or cool in the fridge. Personal cooking appliances including portable stoves, BBQ’s or deep fryers are not permitted indoors. Slow Cookers/Crock Pots are permitted.
What types of tables and chairs does the RCA have?
The main hall has 6′ and 8′ rectangular tables as well as 60″ round tables and stacking chairs.

The west hall has 6′ rectangular tables, 48″ round tables and stacking chairs.

Do you offer setup and take down for my event?

The RCA will not set up and/or take down tables, chairs, etc. before and/or after an event. This is the responsibility of the Renter and must be done within the rental time.

Does the RCA have audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi available for use?
No, the RCA does not have any audio-visual equipment for rental use. There is no Wi-Fi available for rentals.
Can I serve liquor during my rental?
The RCA permits rentals to serve alcohol, however you must get a liquor license (regardless of the amount of alcohol present or if alcohol will be sold or free). You must provide a copy of this license at the time of key pickup and the name on the license is required to match the name of the renter. There is an additional $100 security deposit applied to rentals serving alcohol.

All renters are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the AGLC rules on liquor consumption.

 

I need to cancel my booking, what do I do?
Please call or email the Office to cancel your booking.  Cancellations 2 weeks or more in advance of the booking incur a $50 administration fee which will be deducted from the security deposit. The remaining deposit and rental fee (as applicable) will be returned.

If your event is less than 2 weeks away, your security deposit is forfeited but any rental fee paid will be returned. However, should you book a new rental within a one year window (from the date of cancellation), we will apply the forfeited deposit towards your new rental.

Why do I have to pay a security deposit?
Security deposits are collected to protect the RCA from any loss (cancellations, keys not returned) or damage to the facility during your rental. If there is no damage to the building and the key is returned, you will be refunded the deposit either by cheque/etransfer or credit card/interac.
Why do I have to sign a rental contract?
Rentals contracts provide legal rights to you and the RCA for use of the facility. All Hall bookings must have a signed rental contract and a security deposit paid for you to use the Hall.
Do I need insurance?
The RCA’s insurance does NOT extend coverage onto renters or users of the hall. Renters are fully responsible for their actions and those of their guests when renting our facility, up to and including intentional or accidental personal injuries or property damage. Please refer to your personal home insurance plan as to whether you will have coverage when renting our facility.

There are specialised insurance policies offered by companies for party rentals. The RCA does not promote or endorse any specific companies.

How much does it cost to rent the Hall?

Regular rental hours are 8am – 11pm and all bookings must be a minimum of 3 hours.
