Do you have a passion for community engagement and facility management? The Ranchlands Community Association (RCA) Board is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Facility and Operations Coordinator. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the operational and physical aspects of the RCA Building.

 Role Overview: As the Facility and Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the community building. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage diverse responsibilities simultaneously, and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of the Ranchlands community.

Responsibilities:

  • Building Maintenance:
    • Plan and manage facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
    • Provide after-hours support for building safety.
  • Vendor Coordination:
    • Manage and negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Operations:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of RCA operational policies and procedures.
    • Monitor facility and equipment inventory levels.
    • Provide logistical support for events, programs, and meetings.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Act as the key point of contact for special projects identified by the RCA Board.
    • Lead, coordinate, and complete other Board-approved initiatives.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in facilities management or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and policies.
  • Experience in a community-based non-profit is an asset.

 Salary: This is a part-time position with an anticipated 70 hours of work per month. The salary is $2,275 monthly ($27,300/year).
