Good day and Happy Friday!
Promises of warmer temperatures are welcome, especially as we see our fellow Canadians enjoying true Autumn like experiences, ones that don’t include shoveling snow!
The RCA Board is turning its attention towards the next up and coming Annual General Meeting.
Have you ever had any interest to be on a Board, or wondered what it would be like, or – have been on a Board and are looking for a new fresh opportunity in that area? We are actively seeking new Board members, specifically a Vice President. Other Director positions are also available.
Our current Board is very energetic and engaged, we try hard to do the right thing for the community yet keep it fun. If this is something you’ve always been curious about, please reach out to one of us, either through the office, or FB or email. No questions are dumb questions and we would welcome new ideas and personalities.
On the Social note – hope to see you at the Halloween event in a few weeks, or at one of our Community Pot Lucks.

Ranchlands Community Association
Surrounded by stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and the city lights of the downtown core, Ranchlands is tucked away in the centre of the city’s northwest. Established in the late 70’s, the community was fortunate to be built with many parks, playgrounds and a large natural area. Several pathways connect these areas giving us plenty of walking or biking opportunities and are great for walking the dog to and from off leash areas.
Ranchlands has always been a family oriented community. We have both public and separate elementary schools, many registered daycares and preschools, several churches, baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts and a great community centre with many programs, a playground, basketball court, and both hockey and leisure skating rinks. Organizations include, Scouts, Beavers, Girl Guides and Sparks. The New Horizons, our seniors group, meet weekly at the community centre.
The community was built to support families of all income levels. We range from a variety of small to large single family homes, apartment and townhouse condominiums, subsidized housing and an estate living area. There are two shopping malls, a gas station, several restaurants and bars and quick access to the Crowfoot Crossing shopping centre, theatres, YMCA and the Crowfoot branch of the Calgary Public Library. The Crowfoot LRT Station is an easy walk or take the bus for a quick commute. Quick access to Stoney Trail can have you on your way to the Mountains or to the airport in no time.
